Jews - Why is it that...?

I ask many Jews and rabbis this, they seem to claim to have great knowledge of the Torah (5 books of moses), Talmud, Kabbalah and Zohar (i dont kno of those two are legitimate Judaism writings) but whenever I ask them about the Book of Psalms or Proverbs I rarely get an answer or a valid reply. They don't seem to focus too hard on that, but on Moses' books. Isn't all books important?
