How was the power struggle between royalty and state a factor in the French Wars of Religion?

Hi! I have to make 4 slides on the origins of these wars, and I can't seem to find much good info. I found out about the Huguenots and how they were disliked due to their wealth and proselytizing nature. I also heard about how all the little regions of France chose from Calvinism or Catholicism individually. However, I can't find enough to fill 4 slides. So, along with answering this question, please provide a little more background information on the wars' causes if possible. Thanks in advance!
