Is it true that kangaroos have an extra pair of ears in their feet?

I have heard this from a few different people over the years had have never been able to confirm it - some people have sworn to me that if you look closely at a kangaroo's foot there is what looks like an extra "ear" somewhere there... does anyone know if this is true and if it really does function as an ear??
