What do you do when a little kid you know thinks he's a mermaid?

A kid I know went to Disney and saw Ariel and saw that she was a mermaid. Now he wants to be a mermaid and every time he sees a human he says "Human!" and hides. And he refuses to get out of the pool and the bathtub. What do I do to break this new habit?
